Oichi inexplicably returns in Sengoku Basara 3 having lost her memories after suppressing the pain of witnessing Nagamasa's death and being forced to do cruelties under Nobunaga's name in the past. The temple collapses and she is presumed dead afterwards. After killing her brother in Honnō-ji, Oichi regains her sanity for a little while, then breaks down in tears at her atrocity to her family and clan. In the end, she succumbs to her own dark powers, which leads her to kill Nobunaga's retainers (Nōhime and Ranmaru) and eventually Nobunaga himself. After witnessing her husband's death at the of hands of Nobunaga and then being forced to fight on in Nobunaga's name, she slowly starts to lose her sanity. Oichi's story in Sengoku Basara 2 starts with she and Nagamasa fighting against the Oda army. Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. Only those with a resemblance to individuals from her past who treated her with kindness- such as Tsuruhime, whose innocence and bowmanship reminds her of Ranmaru- are able to break her out of her berserker-like stupor. Her retainers call her the "Demon Queen of the Fifth Heaven", and while she is still often depressed and melancholy- certainly even far more than she used to be- she becomes rapt with bloodlust upon facing an enemy. In reality, her retainers use her as a figurehead, Oichi having become even easier to manipulate than before. In Sengoku BASARA 3, Sengoku BASARA The Last Party and Sengoku BASARA Judge End, she is depicted as the leader of the remnants of the Oda clan. She also regards her sister-in-law Maria with jealousy and as a rival due to her pampering of Nagamasa, but when Maria turns her affections towards her she gets along with her quite well. However, she genuinely fell in love with Nagamasa and became torn between betraying her brother or her lover. She was first sent by her brother, Oda Nobunaga, to marry Azai Nagamasa and to spy on him. She always thinks of herself as being guilty of things that she has no control over. Oichi is a tragic woman with who is very melancholic in nature and quite insecure about herself. She is often considered as the most tragic character in the series. Ever since, she has made an appearance in all of the Sengoku BASARA titles to date. Oichi is the younger sister of Oda Nobunaga and the wife of Azai Nagamasa, who made her debut as a playable character in Sengoku BASARA 2 Heroes.
